Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am an out of network provider. I am happy to provide a Superbill. The preparation and integration sessions are traditional psychotherapy sessions and can be reimbursed by insurance.

  • Psychedelic Assisted Therapy is a modality of in which a Psychedelic medicine is administered to aid the psychotherapeutic process. An assessment is done to determine eligibility and mental health treatment goals are established. Ketamine is the only legal psychedelic indicated for mental health treatment at this time.

  • I remain present with you for the entire duration of your Ketamine journey for safety and support.

  • I am more than happy to collaborate with your existing therapist and work together as a team. I could see you for preparation sessions and the medicine session. You are more than welcome to do your integrations sessions with your own therapist.

  • No! Liz has a harm-reduction approach and does not stigmatize the use of recreational use of Psychedelics. However, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a relational psychotherapeutic process. In order to qualify for KAP, the client must be committed to working towards mental health treatment goals and must be open to a collaborative process.

  • My recommendation is to start traditional psychotherapy first. Over the course of time, we could determine together when it would be an appropriate time to start KAP. We are working from a Trauma-focused framework. Trust and safety are integral components of treatment. It is important to not rush.

  • Yes. I provide psychedelic integration therapy for people already using psychedelics for their own healing and looking to weave this into their treatment. I can also assist you in preparation for retreats or ceremonies and provide aftercare on your return. Preparation and integration is the best way to ensure long-last outcomes post ceremonies.

  • There are many ways to integrate a Psychedelic experience. While it is a requirement to have integration sessions in between KAP sessions at Mind Body Spirit Psychotherapy, you are encourage to explore communities, otherwise known as Integration Circles. Here are examples:

    Women Integration Circles

    Tam Integration Circle

    New York City Psychedelic Society

    Psychedelic Liberation Collective

    Asian Psychedelic Collective

    Autistic Integration Circles

    Queer Psychedelic Integration Circles

Addiction and Recovery Integration with San Francisco Psychedelic Society

If you are seeking local community, the Jersey City Psychedelic Society meets once per month.

  • Results vary for each individual person. Research shows that the therapeutic alliance is the most significant indicator for successful outcomes in therapy. Psychotherapy is a process.

  • We start by scheduling a discovery call to explore your needs. If it feels like a right fit for you, we proceed to an initial consultation in person or via Zoom. If KAP is indicated for treatment, you will be referred to Journey Clinical for a medical assessment. If determined eligible by Journey Clinical, you will be prescribed enough medicine for about 2-3 KAP sessions.

After 2-3 KAP sessions, we will be able to determine if KAP is right for you. If you choose to proceed with a full protocol (6-8 KAP sessions), you can schedule a follow up with Journey Clinical, and you will be prescribed enough medication to complete the rest of the protocol.
